Context
Opinew is a product review management platform for e-commerce businesses — helping online stores collect, manage, and display customer reviews to build trust and drive conversions. Based in England and serving a global customer base, the company reached a growth inflection point where their existing brand identity no longer reflected the scale and ambition of the product.
I was brought in as a freelance designer to lead the visual identity refresh — covering the logo, color system, UI language, and messaging strategy across their marketing and product surfaces.
The Challenge
Opinew's existing identity had been built quickly — it did the job of identifying the product, but it didn't communicate the company's core values: transparency, trustworthiness, and innovation. For a product whose entire value proposition is built on authentic customer feedback, the brand needed to feel credible and forward-thinking from the first impression.
The challenge wasn't just aesthetics. The brand needed to:
- Signal professionalism and trustworthiness to the e-commerce businesses evaluating it
- Differentiate from competitors in a crowded review management space
- Work consistently across product UI, marketing pages, and sales materials
- Reflect growth and forward momentum — a brand for where the company was going, not just where it had been
Design Approach
Visual Identity Redesign
The refreshed logo uses clean lines and a vibrant color palette designed to communicate growth and forward-thinking. The design system established clear rules for typography hierarchy, color usage, and spacing — ensuring consistency whether the brand was appearing on a product dashboard, a marketing landing page, or a sales deck.

Messaging Strategy
Alongside the visual work, I helped refine Opinew's messaging to emphasise customer-centric language — moving from feature-focused copy to outcomes-focused communication. The brand voice became clearer about how Opinew's review management tools deliver measurable value: more trust, higher conversions, stronger reputation.
UI Application
The new identity was applied to the product dashboard — updated to reflect the refreshed visual system with improved information hierarchy, a cleaner navigation structure, and interaction patterns that felt consistent with the new brand direction.
Delivery
Opinew dashboard — new visual identity applied to the product UI
The one-month engagement delivered a complete brand refresh: a new logo with usage guidelines, a colour and typography system, updated UI components for the product dashboard, and messaging strategy documentation. The refreshed identity positioned Opinew to compete more effectively against established players in the review management space while better communicating their commitment to authentic, trustworthy customer feedback.
